PAVE EDU INC.
Privacy Policy
Version 1.1
Effective date: September 24, 2026
Pave EDU Inc. (“Pave EDU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how Pave EDU Inc. collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information when you interact with us, our websites, our programs, our resources and our online forms.
This Policy applies to PaveEdu.org and to Pave EDU properties that link to this Policy, including AI Ready Schools, AI Ready Kids, AI Ready Workplace and future Pave EDU or AI Ready websites and services.
Pave EDU Inc. is a Canadian corporation based in Ontario. This Policy has been developed primarily with Canadian privacy requirements in mind, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Other privacy laws may also apply depending on where an individual is located and the nature of the activity.
1. Personal information we may collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:
- your name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- organization, school, district or employer;
- job title, role or professional information;
- information you provide when requesting a resource or contacting us;
- event, program or registration information;
- newsletter and communication preferences;
- survey, assessment or feedback responses;
- parent, guardian or youth information where relevant to a program;
- correspondence and communications with us;
- records of consent and unsubscribe requests; and
- technical information associated with use of our websites, such as browser, device, IP address, website activity, log information, cookie information or similar data.
We try to collect only information reasonably necessary for the purpose identified. Please do not provide sensitive personal information in a free-text form field unless the form specifically asks for it.
2. How we collect personal information
We may collect personal information:
- directly from you through Pave EDU or AI Ready websites;
- through Google Forms or other online forms;
- when you contact us by email or another communication channel;
- when you register for an event, program, resource or service;
- when you subscribe to updates or newsletters;
- when you participate in a survey, assessment or consultation;
- through service providers acting on our behalf; and
- automatically through website technologies such as cookies, analytics tools, server logs and similar technologies.
Where another organization, such as a school, school district, association or employer, engages Pave EDU to provide a program or service, we may also receive information from that organization where it is authorized to provide it.
3. Why we collect and use personal information
Depending on the interaction, we may use personal information to:
- respond to a question or request;
- provide a requested resource;
- notify you when a specific resource, program or service becomes available;
- register and administer participation in an event or program;
- communicate information necessary to deliver a requested service;
- deliver newsletters, insights, resources or other communications when you have chosen to receive them;
- administer surveys, assessments and research activities;
- improve our websites, programs, resources and services;
- understand how our websites and resources are being used;
- maintain security, prevent misuse and troubleshoot technical problems;
- maintain records of consent and communication preferences;
- meet contractual, legal, regulatory or record-keeping requirements; and
- protect the rights, safety and legitimate interests of Pave EDU, our users and others.
We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without appropriate notice or consent unless permitted or required by law.
4. Consent
We seek consent that is appropriate to the nature of the information and the purpose for which it is being collected, used or disclosed.
In many routine situations, your action makes the purpose clear. For example:
- submitting a contact form allows us to use your information to respond to you;
- registering for an event allows us to use your information to administer the registration and communicate necessary event information; and
- requesting notification when a resource becomes available allows us to contact you for that specific purpose.
Submitting one of these forms does not automatically subscribe you to general marketing or newsletters.
Where we want to send you ongoing newsletters, resources, invitations or other marketing communications, we will ask for that permission separately where required.
You may withdraw consent to optional uses of your personal information, subject to reasonable legal, contractual or operational restrictions.
5. Email communications and marketing
Requested or service-related communications may include responses to inquiries, registration information, access to requested resources, program communications and notifications you have specifically requested. These communications are limited to the purpose for which the information was provided.
If you choose to subscribe to newsletters, insights, resources, event updates or similar ongoing communications, we will use the information you provide for those purposes.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism contained in the message or by contacting privacy@paveedu.org.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily prevent us from sending communications that are required to respond to your request, administer an existing registration or relationship, or meet a legal obligation.
6. Email distribution tools
We may use third-party email-distribution and productivity services, including Google Workspace and tools such as Yet Another Mail Merge (YAMM), to prepare, manage and deliver communications.
These providers may process information such as your name, email address, communication preferences and information necessary to deliver or administer the communication.
We require service providers to handle personal information only for appropriate purposes associated with providing their services to us.
7. Google Forms, Google Sheets and Google Workspace
We may use Google Forms to collect information and Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail and other Google Workspace services to manage information and communications.
Access to these records is intended to be restricted to authorized individuals who require the information for legitimate Pave EDU purposes.
We do not make form-response spreadsheets publicly available merely because a public form collects information.
8. Service providers and processing outside Canada
Pave EDU uses third-party providers for functions such as website hosting, cloud storage, forms, communications, analytics and other business operations.
Personal information handled by these providers may be processed or stored in Canada, the United States, Europe or other jurisdictions in which the provider or its subprocessors operate.
When personal information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, government agencies, law-enforcement authorities or national-security authorities where legally authorized.
Pave EDU remains responsible for personal information under our control and takes reasonable steps to select and manage service providers appropriately.
9. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
Our websites may use cookies, analytics tools, server logs and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website performance and usage, maintain security and improve our websites and resources.
Some technologies are necessary for a website to operate. Others may be optional. Where required, we will provide appropriate notice or choices regarding non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete some cookies, although doing so may affect certain website functions.
10. Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service or communication, administer an ongoing relationship, meet the purpose explained when the information was collected, maintain appropriate consent, unsubscribe, business and compliance records, and satisfy legal, regulatory, contractual or dispute-resolution requirements.
Different types of information may therefore have different retention periods.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we take steps to delete it, anonymize it or otherwise dispose of it securely, subject to legal and operational requirements.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
The safeguards we use depend on the sensitivity, amount, format and location of the information.
No website, email system, cloud service or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident involving personal information occurs, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable law.
12. Access and correction
You may ask whether Pave EDU holds personal information about you and may request access to that information, subject to exceptions permitted by law.
You may also ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to an access, correction or deletion request.
To make a privacy request, contact our Privacy Officer using the information at the end of this Policy.
13. Children and young people
Some Pave EDU programs and resources, including AI Ready Kids, may be designed for young people or families.
We take additional care when collecting personal information relating to children and youth. We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary for the activity, explain privacy practices in language appropriate to the intended audience, involve parents or guardians where appropriate, avoid using youth information for unrelated marketing, and use stronger consent protections where information is sensitive.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring consent without obtaining appropriate consent from a parent or guardian, unless otherwise permitted by law.
For older youth, the appropriate consent process may depend on age, maturity, the sensitivity of the information and the nature of the program.
Where a school, parent, guardian or other organization provides information about a young person, that party is responsible for having appropriate authority to provide it.
14. Surveys and assessments
Where we conduct surveys, assessments or evidence-gathering activities, the form will explain the intended purpose of the information.
Where responses are intended to be anonymous, we will design the process with that goal in mind and will not intentionally use the survey to identify individual participants.
Where responses are identifiable, we will explain how the identifiable information will be used.
Participation in a survey will not automatically subscribe someone to marketing communications.
15. Third-party websites and resources
Pave EDU websites may link to websites, tools, resources or services operated by other organizations.
Those organizations have their own privacy practices and policies. Pave EDU is not responsible for how an independent third party collects, uses or protects information after you leave a Pave EDU-controlled website or service.
We encourage you to review the privacy information provided by those organizations.
16. International visitors
Pave EDU operates from Canada and this Privacy Policy is based primarily on Canadian privacy requirements.
If you access our websites or services from another country, local privacy or data-protection laws may also apply.
Information may be transferred to or processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you live, as described in this Policy.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technologies, legal obligations or information-handling practices.
When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice or seek new consent.
18. Questions, requests or complaints
Pave EDU Inc. has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for questions and concerns regarding our privacy practices.

You may contact the Privacy Officer to ask a question about this Privacy Policy; request access to or correction of personal information; withdraw consent where applicable; make a privacy complaint; or ask about how your personal information has been handled.
